South-Korean delegation visits HØST

South-Korean politicians and the country’s Ambassador in Denmark paid a visit to learn more about Power-to-X and offshore wind.

Offshore wind and Power-to-X (PtX) were top of the agenda when HØST PtX Esbjerg welcomed a delegation from the South-Korean National Assembly’s Trade, Industry and Energy Committee, headed by Chairman Kwansuk Youn. The committee is responsible for the regulatory framework within the energy sector, and thereby plays a key role in developing the future energy politics of South-Korea.

Sustainable Danish solutions

The purpose of the official visit to Denmark was to study and learn about the Danish solutions within technologies, production and politics. The delegation also counted Vice Chairman of the committee Han-Jung Kim and the South-Korean Ambassador to Denmark, Hyung Gil Kim.

Positive collaboration

The visit  was hosted by Keld Bennetsen, Vice President at Copenhagen Offshore Partners together with Project Director at HØST PtX Esbjerg, David Dupont-Mouritzen, and many ideas were exchanged during the visit.

- It is always very interesting to learn about the plans and approaches of countries around the world, and we had a very positive dialogue about the interdependencies between the offshore wind build-out and PtX. It is a step in the right direction, and we are always keen to talk about our project which often attracts interest from abroad. I would like to thank Sine Matzen Christiansen from the Danish Energy Agency (Energistyrelsen) and Jacob Navarro Rasmussen from the Danish Embassy in South Korea for arranging this visit. It is visits like this one that prompt interest from other countries to learn more about Danish solutions, David Dupont-Mouritzen states.
