Minister for Climate paid a visit to HØST PtX Esbjerg

On Friday 27 August, The Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, Dan Jørgensen, paid a visit to the newly established HØST project office and future site location in Esbjerg, Denmark.

During the visit, Dan Jørgensen was introduced to the PtX potentials for producing green ammonia in Denmark, including significant CO2 reductions, job creation, emission-free district heating and balancing of the future electric grid.

HØST PTX Esbjerg, Project Director, David Dupont-Mouritzen, and CIP Partner, Karsten Uhd Plauborg, hosted the visit at the CIP premises conveniently located by the old wharf. The visit was kicked off with a tour of the industrial harbour area accompanied by Esbjerg Mayor, Jesper Frost Rasmussen and other key local stakeholders who support the establishment of a PtX industry in Esbjerg.

David Dupont-Mouritzen expressed great satisfaction with the outcome of the visit. ‘The minister was very keen on understanding the scope of our project and the industry in general. He appreciated the fact that the framework for PtX projects in Denmark needs to be matured now if we want to secure the benefits brought along for Danish society in terms of significant CO2 reductions, job creation, emission-free district heating and balancing of the future electric grid, says Dupont-Mouritzen.’
